Playa Market: More Than a Shop, It’s a Comunidad
Playa Market is your one-stop destination to support local Latino and queer-owned shops. It’s more than a place to shop — it’s a platform where vendors can share their products, tell their stories, and connect with the community.
Rooted in cultura, collaboration, and pride, Playa Market is a reminder that it truly matters where you shop.
Hola!
I'm Salvador
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and in my early teens my family moved to El Monte, CA. Being an immigrant and a first-generation DACA student shaped the way I see community, opportunity, and representation.
For me, it’s always been important to celebrate our cultura, to be proud of who we are, and to make sure our stories are told — stories rooted in history, creativity, and resilience.
Through producing Latino and LGBTQ+ events, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many incredible vendors and creators who deserve not only our support but also a platform to shine.
That’s why I created Playa Market: a space to uplift local Latino and queer businesses, to showcase their products, and to share their stories with the world.
Because at the end of the day, it matters where you shop.
This platform is my way of honoring our cultura, our creativity, and our resilience — one story, one vendor, one shop at a time.
